About Oak Ridge Marina
Oak Ridge Marina first opened in 1981. It offered one of the first boat ramps available on Lake Fork.
Oak Ridge is located on the east side of the lake on State Highway 154, which runs from Quitman to Sulphur Springs. The address is 2919 W. State Highway 154, which is ¼ mile south of the 154 bridge across Lake Fork.
The property includes a motel, lodge, restaurant, tackle store, RV park and several waterfront facilities, including boat ramp, covered boat slips, fish cleaning station, pavillion and fishing pier. Along the waterfront, the property includes two distinct peninsulas. The RV park occupies one of these peninsulas and the boat ramp and truck/boat trailer parking are on the other.
Over the span of the last 30+ years, ownership of the marina has changed hands several times. The current owners, Barry and Tracy Hatton, have owned Oak Ridge since 2010 and continue to improve the property daily:•Spring of 2010: remodeled and reopened the restaurant.•Fall of 2010: put in a new boat ramp.•Spring of 2011: remodeled and reopened the tackle store.•Fall of 2011: put mini-fridges, microwaves and DirecTv in all of the motel rooms.•Spring of 2012: built the pavillion and pier.•Since 2012: build out kitchen capacity and continue to make improvements across the entire property.
Lake Fork Events
Oak Ridge hosts many tournaments and other events throughout the year. Our Lake Fork Events Calendar provides a convenient list of these events. Tracy, in particular, works closely with many of the local organizations like the Lake Fork Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Fork Sportsman Association, the Wood County Industrial Commission and others to help bring new and bigger events to the Lake Fork Community including the Fourth of July Fireworks Show and the High-School Scholarship Tournament.
